Time format

I just switched from WeConnect-mqtt and used to track the updates using the "weconnect/0/mqtt/weconnectUpdated" topic.
I found, that "carconnectivity/0/connectors/volkswagen/last_update" does basically the same, but the date format is somewhat off.

Would it be possible to get an ISO8601 format here or maybe a plain unix timestamp? That would be much easier to process.

Can you send me some examples where the string is not formatted correctly? it should be ISO8601 if not reconfigured by the time_format config option.

I've set

                    "convert_timezone": "Europe/Berlin", // Timezone to convert when publishing times
                    "locale": "de_DE" // Locale for conversions, will be used instead of system locale

in the mqtt plugin config and get the date in this format: Mi 23 Apr 2025 22:48:42 CEST

time_format is unset (default).

ah, right. It is using the locale setting for the date time when set.
what if you try to add something like: "time_format": "%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%SZ"
