Is Kotaemon still being developed?

I've noticed that there haven't been any new commits since the latest release, which has happened in July. And even though I know that not every project needs to have commits happening every single day, specially projects resulting from volunteering efforts, but I am curious to know what is the current state.

I am trying to deploy my own local RAG system, and have been looking at multiple options, and using a tool that is actively being worked on, specially in this field that is prone to change so quickly, is important.
