It doesn’t cover all the needs you mentioned , but have you tried mounting a WebDAV volume directly from your file explorer or on your mobile device? I think this already covers a large part of your use case: you can see the entire folder tree without taking up local space, and read / download / upload files on demand. https://sync-in.com/docs/user-guide/webdav https://sync-in.com/docs/user-guide/mobile_apps There are WebDAV clients on mobile that offer synchronization, and on PC or Mac the Sync-in applications handle this very well. |

Would it be possible to add virtual file management?
Just as a reminder, the idea is to have files that appear in the file explorer but aren't actually downloaded to the device - just links to the server. This allows you to see the entire file tree without eating up disk space, and you can download on-demand when needed.
What would also be great is being able to choose the sync mode for each file/directory/device individually.
For example, I have a phone with only 128GB, and I'd like to keep locally only the few files I really need, with the rest staying virtual.
And if we could take this even further, it would be absolutely awesome to have an automatic system that puts files back into virtual mode when they're no longer being used. Like after X days without opening them, or after a certain duration, boom - they become virtual again to automatically free up space.
What do you think? :)
