lock icon badge missing in Stable v1.80.1 Explorer files

I have the general Explorer > Decorations: Badges setting enabled. But if I set a file to read-only via command File: Set Active Editor Read-only in Session I do get the editor tab lock icon but I do not get the Explorer lock icon. There is no competing SCM badge for this file (plus I can disable the Git Decorations setting and it makes no difference).

Nor does the Explorer file get the lock icon in Stable if I set the file to read-only in the OS and focus the file in the Explorer.

It works fine in Insiders but not in Stable v1.80.1.

Wondering if anybody else is seeing this?

Didn't have the Files: Readonly From Permissions enabled. Default is disabled/false.
