I want to upgrade my git lfs pack but after pressing the upgrade button I get the error data packs are not available this account
is anyone experiencing this error like me
Can anybody figure it out?

This error—"data packs are not available for this account"—typically means that Git LFS (Large File Storage) data packs cannot be purchased or upgraded for your account due to one of the following reasons:

🛑 Possible Causes
1.You're on a Free Personal Account:

GitHub does not allow LFS data pack upgrades for free personal accounts anymore. They require you to upgrade to a paid plan (e.g., GitHub Pro or Team).

2.You're Using LFS in a Private Repository Without a Subscription:

LFS data usage for private repos requires a billing plan. If you're trying to upgrade from a free-tier account, this will fail.

3.You're Not the Owner of the Repository:

Only repository owners or billing managers can purchase data packs. If you're a collaborator or contributor, you can't upgrade LFS.

4.Billing Restrictions (Organization or Enterprise):

If you're part of a GitHub Organization or Enterprise, data pack purchasing may be restricted by the org’s billing settings.

✅ What You Can Do
Option 1: Check Your Plan
Go to: https://github.com/settings/billing

Make sure your account is on a GitHub Pro or Team plan, especially if you're using private repositories with LFS.

Option 2: Ask the Repo Owner
If it’s not your repo, contact the owner or billing admin and ask them to upgrade the LFS pack or enable it.

Option 3: Use Public Repos Only (Free LFS Quota)
GitHub offers free LFS quota for public repositories (1 GB storage + 1 GB bandwidth).

Try to keep your project public if possible.
